Geh, my stomach is jumping around ever since I had this wishy-washy milkshake at dinnertime. No Renegade Craft Fair for me, boohoo.

We did manage to buy a whole mess of delicious books today. I got DeLint's Medicine Road which I've been meaning to pick up. I enjoyed Seven Wild Sisters and this is about Laurel and Bess from that one. Bonus: Drawings by Charles Vess! Woop!

Magazines, too. There was some rag on sale that Somerset Studios/Stampington put out, a one-shot featuring artist's working spaces, but when I saw it on the racks it had a huge-ass pic of none other than Marie Osmond (and her terrifying teeth) on the cover and I really don't want to support her mass-produced "collectible" art. I am just not into bizarro baby dolls from the Franklin Mint and the like. It's weird because I can't think of any Somerset publication that has had a photo like that on the cover--and they've had Angela Cartwright on one of the mastheads at some point, I think. Then again, Ms. Cartwright has actual talent.

I wanna be like J. and sleep anywhere, sitting up, with the lights on. How the hell does he do that?

That is awesome. :) I like to think you nudged him towards that connection as well.

That is a much cooler story than I could tell. The closest I have come to it is uh...members of my family are the inspirations for various second-tier characters on The Simpsons. :P Long story.

Heehee! Why does this not surprise me? :D
