Yeah, sis and I joked about how we would disown them if they named her something awful like Madysyn or Breighdyn or any of that speshul sneauxfleighque horseshit you see everywhere.
The mother of a friend of mine always uses 1 instead of l, because she learned to type on a typewriter back when the characters were identical and she apparently thought the 1 key was easier to hit instead of the L key (she types L normally, it's just l she has a problem with). She now uses computers and IM and Facebook and stuff like that, and despite constant ribbing it's so ingrained into her fingers that it's unlikely she's ever going to stop doing it.
