Seersucker. You don't even see old guys wearing seersucker suits. I love the stuff. When I was around 9 I had this swanky blue-and-white seersucker jumpsuit with a blue patent leather belt and pearl-covered snaps down the front and I freakin' loved it. Yeah, I know, wtf jumpsuit. I was a big fan of jumpsuits and rompers because you just put on one thing and you didn't have to worry about stuff matching. That's why I like dresses today. Dresses leave you room to think.
I'd make a seersucker dress but I'd look like a damned candystriper.
I got J. a couple of shirts a few years back made out of this seersuckerish fabric, thinking they would be wash-and-wear, but the interfacing in the plackets wrinkles like a sonofabitch and then if I iron the placket, the rest of it looks weird in comparison, so I have to iron the whole damn thing, and I hate ironing more than any other household task ever. Especially ironing shirts. So he doesn't wear those shirts anymore because he'd rather wear knit polo tops anyway.
