I have made a breakthrough discovery.

It is impossible to own too many ratty gray sweaters.

Yes! As many ratty gray sweaters as possible. When you have over 12, then you have to switch to the Anglo 'grey.'

The one I have on right now is grey, since I cadged it in the UK! The rest are gray.

This one is tied with another (cable-knit, with the neckband unraveled and missing) for Most Rattiest Ragamuffiny.

Last week one of my old ratty grey sweaters was pissed upon profusely by my cat. It was tossed - making it the one too many.
