I can't believe they are charging her with murder... Last I checked, Murder was the taking of life with malice aforethought. I wish I knew the statistics of vertical vs. bikini incisions for c-sections in the States. The only person I know with a vertical incision got theirs in the 1970s.

Verticle incisions are hardly ever done anymore except in maybe certain circumstances. They usually do a bikini incision because you can still have a baby through natural childbirth after (as well as differences in asthetics), while with the vertical, all your children after have to be delivered via C-section.

It's possible to have vaginal birth after a vertical caesarian, provided muscle tone is not completely shot to hell.
