Been registered since the day I turned 18. And I made sure that my address was up to date before the election (by finally renewing my license) last week. Whoop.
Now do you want something to do with my still-fairly-apathetic-but-gonna-vote-just-like-I've-done-every-election-since-1992 ass? =D
1992 was the first year I voted. I won't be voting for a Bush this time. *hangs head in shame*
Hey, I was still living with my parents, then. I had seen the light by the time 1996 rolled around, though (that was, incidently, the year I moved out).
I have been registered to vote since I turned 18 in 1971. I voted in my first presidential election (for Walter Mondale) in 1972 and have voted in every one since. I have never voted for a Republican for any office since I first registered. I hated Nixon, I hated Regan and I hated Bush and Bush Redux. I never hated Ford. He was just a bumbling fool and Betty was actually kinda cool. You knew who wore the pants in that family. But I didn't vote for him either.
Confession: I voted for Rudy Giuliani. Twice. David Dinkins was a washout and having met Mark Green a couple times I found him to be a complete anal passage. I probably would have voted for Bloomberg if I was still living in the city at the time.
Even as a kid I never trusted Reagan. There was something so artificial about him (and I'm not talking about his hair or complexion); I remember telling my fourth grade teacher "If Ronald Reagan was playing Santa Claus, I wouldn't want to sit in his lap."
Eep. I had a blonde moment a couple weeks ago and gave all my personal information to RockTheVote, at which point they gave me a link to download a .pdf file of the empty form that I'm supposed to mail to Madison... *chainsaws people*
