random rambles

I left my new shoes in the car. J. took the car to work. Therefore I cannot play with the new shoes.

I've been knitting this hat and I'm almost done but now I decide I hate it. So I am unraveling the whole thing, which is mighty satisfying. *flings out great streamers of crimped yarn*

I have this bag of tiny Daim bars and it never seems to end. I've been nibbling them for days. I'm such a whore for crunchy toffee.

PED EGGS WORK! And its so satisfying to dump all the skin flakies out into the trash afterwards. Of course my feet were nowhere near as disgustingly fake filthy as the ones in the commercials (who the hell goes around with black soles, honestly) but I dont have that weird callous on my left piggie anymore. *scrape scrape scrape* lovely! Cheese graters for tootsies!

Nice to know they work but I totally got sick when I saw that commercial, I bet a lemon grater would do the same trick ;p

Well, if I ever run out of Parmesan and I'm serving you pasta...*shakes footieflakes*

I almost forgot that you are the patron saint of knitting. I can only knit straight stuff. I've made a million scarves. I'm making a sock monkey for a friend's birthday (yesterday). I want to knit a hat for it. Can you tell me how to do it, or give me an idea of where I should look for a pattern?

If you aren't comfortable with trying to knit on circular needles, you can always just knit a long triangle and sew up the two long sides into a cone.

Or you can knit a square/rectangle, sew it into a tube, and then gather one end to make a little watch cap.

Or cut the toe off a sock! :D

I'll probably knit a tube. Thanks, Auntie!

I made you some pink-orange-red mittens awhile back, and never seamed them up and mailed them to you. Now I can't find them and it's bothering me because I am such a slacker of suck. Foo.

I'm trying to use up as much of my stash as possible. If I come across some yarn in there that screams OMG ERIN I will make you something swell!
