So since everyone is bawling with reverence over Michael Jackson now that he's dead, does this mean that when O.J. kicks the bucket that everyone will forget that he butchered two people? Will ESPN run retrospectives of his Hertz commercials and reruns of First and Ten?

Also?

It was a jury trial.

Was not Judge Ito that said no. It was a jury that said so.

God, I hated that period of time, considering I was living in LA then.

I wasn't going to name all of the jurors, considering the only one I remembered was nicknamed "Hot Socks" and had the screaming-down-the-hall freakout.

My statement stands.

Don't murder trials need "beyond a doubt" things?

His lawyers were just better than the LA County DA team. That has ALWAYS been my opinion.

Regardless of whether or not Simpson could squeeze his latex-covered hands into a pair of blood-stiffened, shrunken gloves, you can't tell me or the majority of rational humans on this earth that he didn't slaughter two people.

And does the comparison to Michael Jackson even compare?

As I recall, MJ was never even accused of killing anyone.

OJ, though... murder, kidnapping, extortion, conspiracy...

Going back to the original point, this is why I don't think OJ will be remembered quite as fondly.

How many children didn't come forward?

I acknowledge your point. And it is perfectly valid. (but it also seems to me that you're happy he died or somesuch. if I am mistaken, do correct me.)

But it seems you are not acknowledging mine. That there is no comparison between OJ and MJ... really.

I'm not happy he died yesterday. I wish he had died before his music career took a dive and he got accused of messing around with children.

I always figured he'd take a powder eventually, I'm just sorry it took this long.

Yes, his music was good. But I never owned any of it because he's one of those people that always gave me a Bad Feeling. Call that prejudice, if you will, but I have fairly good instincts about that kind of shit...comes from experience, sadly.

Although given the numbers that came out after the Catholic priest molestation thing, I would have thought more would have come out to accuse MJ too... really.

The Catholic church's coffers are far deeper than the Neverland fortune. That's the cynic in me speaking.

Well of course they are.

Not to mention all the stealing by the Vatican... (not going to get into a cynic contest with you or anything... just noting I share it)
